And the winner is... Christi Stone!
Thanks to all who entered our very first website Photo Contest! It was a very tough decision, but in the end, Christi's charming cutting-board photo was the clear winner. A Davis Food Co-op member, Stone shared the following words about her piece:
"I'm a total amateur at photography but still love to take pictures, especially of food! By the way, those tomatoes were from the Co-op sometime in August from Capay Valley (may have been Good Humus). I'm originally from Oakland but moved here 6 years ago and was told that the Co-op and the food direct from the farms here would make up for the difference between big city and little town. It sure has--I fall more and more in love with it over the years. This photo represents that admiration for our food culture here.. I do always joke with friends that I had no idea what a tomato tasted like until I moved here (and I only lived 60 miles away growing up!!)."
