The Davis Food Co-op holds cooking classes in the Teaching Kitchen at 537 G Street, across the street from the Co-op. Please park in the Co-op lot or on the street in non-permit spaces when attending. NEW! Attendees over 21 years will be offered a complimentary glass of wine or beer during most cooking classes. No outside alcohol allowed.

About our classes: Most are Demonstration style. In these classes, the instructor will demonstrate how to make the dishes and give you samples. Intro classes are similar to demonstration classes, except much shorter, usually focusing on one dish or ingredient. Classes designated as Hands On allow you to participate in the cooking. All Kids classes are hands on and accommodate children from age 3 to 12. Children who can speak well enough to be understood and are potty trained are welcome.

More about the Teaching Kitchen in 2016: Our education department is in the process of an exciting change! We have moved to a semester-style class calendar, focusing on providing classes during months where enrollment has been highest. During the off months, we will be offering a number of free workshops in the store and on the patio. We will cover a wide range of topics in these classes, from cooking techniques, spotlights on seasonal produce and even workshops on pruning and plant care.
