Recipe: Plain Pinto Beans

Ingredients:

2 cups dried Pinto Beans
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. dried red pepper flakes
2 cloves chopped garlic

Instructions:

Pick over the beans and soak in water overnight or for 6-8 hours. Drain and rinse thoroughly. Cover with water to a depth 1-2 inches higher than the beans. Add salt, red pepper flakes and garlic. Bring to a very low simmer and cook about 2 hours, stirring occasionally and adding water as needed.
