Recipe: Noodley Hot Dish

Ingredients:

1 ½ cups milk
2 Tbsp. butter
2 Tbsp. flour
1 tsp. dry mustard
½ tsp. salt
1 cup shredded cheese
8 oz. pasta shapes
1 cup frozen broccoli
1 cup ham, minced
½ onion, minced
1 cup fresh bread crumbs
¼ cup finely grated parmesan
2 Tbsp. olive oil

Instructions:

Melt butter in saucepan & add  flour. Cook one minute.  Add milk carefully.  Cook over low heat until thick.  When thick, stir in mustard. Turn off heat and add cheese without stirring.  Let stand two minutes, then stir. While sauce cooks, bring a large pot of salted water to the boil for the pasta.  Cook until just barely done. Drain well. Mix pasta, broccoli, onions and ham and place in a greased dish. Mix bread crumbs, parm and olive oil to make a streusel-like topping, and sprinkle it over the top. Bake until bubbly and top is golden, about 20 minutes.
