1 jar of your favorite brand of sauce
1/4 lb. crumbled veggie alternative or real sausage per person
Sauté 1/4 pound crumbled veggie alternative or real sausage per person, then simmer with the sauce for a few minutes.
If you don’t care for sausage of any sort, mushrooms would be good too. Clean and cut in half if large, then sauté for a few minutes in olive oil. Add tomato sauce and just heat through – mushrooms hate to be simmered for very long.
Olives are a nice addition to either version, as are roasted red peppers.
