Recipe: Tortilla Soup

Ingredients:

1/2 an onion, sliced
2 cloves garlic
½ tsp. cumin
1 tsp. chili powder
3 cups broth
corn from two ears
2 cups canned beans
tortillas
oil
avocado
sour cream
1 cup salsa

Instructions:

Cook onion until tender. Add garlic & spices. Add broth. Cut corn from two ears and add to soup.. Shred tortillas and fry in a little oil until crisp. Drain and rinse beans. Stir salsa and beans into soup and heat gently. Spoon soup into bowls and add tortilla strips. Top with diced avocado and sour cream.
