Celebrate Local Foods at the Co-op on Saturday, September 11

We hope you can join us for our Free Local Foods Tasting Fair on Saturday, September 11, from 1 to 5 pm. Everyone is invited to stop by the Co-op and taste samples of great local foods as part of our month-long celebration of eating locally.

Friday, September 24, 2010 in the Co-op Parking Lot

Enjoy samples and meet the people who produce your food, including Monticello Bistro, Sudwerk Brewery, Village Bakery, Five Dot Ranch, Llano Seco Ranch and Sierra Nevada Cheese.

Representatives from local Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) groups, including Riverdog Farm, Nevermore Farm, Full Belly Farm, Farm Fresh to You, Good Humus Farm and Wind Dancer Ranch, will also be available to explain their programs and meet potential subscribers.

Wine Tastings

Wine or Beer Tastings usually occur on the first three Fridays of the month from 6 to 8 PM in the Co-op Conference Room at 620 G Street.

September 3 – Bear Flag & other wine blends
Septmber 10 – New Belgium Brewing

For adults over 21, the cost is $1.00/taste, with as many tastes possible as their are wines to sample. (For beer tastings, we usually have a "slate" price and the option of $1.00/taste.) All profits benefit the Davis Farm-to-School Connection.

Blood Donation Drives at the Food Co-op

Join us as the BloodSource Bloodmobile parks on Sixth Street
Sundays, 1 to 5 PM on four dates in 2010:

Want to know more about your Co-op? Interested in volunteering? Just looking for some free entertainment? Attend the Member Orientation (new & “old” members welcome). We'll throw in two hours of work credit for your attendance!
