Hannukah Candles.

Hannukah starts the 14th, Christmas is on the 25th. There is Christmas stuff all over the store, there were trees before Thanksgiving, no Hannukah candles to be seen!

Called and spoke to. Made corrections to the display based on her feedback and made note that the display will be built earlier next year.

Request that we carry:

What happened to Yaya’s Herb & Garden Vegetable Air-Popped popcorn?
You used to carry it regularly. It is one of the healthieset options for pre-popped popcorn and also was reasonably priced. It also has no cholesterol.

Thank you for using our suggestion box! Unfortunately, we did discontinue Yaya’s popcorn back over the summer time. It unfortunately was not selling as much as some of our other popcorn options. I do have space in that section to possibly bring in one or two varieties. It is important that we offer healthy options to our community. Are you interested in the salted version as well as the herb and garden option? Feel free to let me know your thoughts!

Request that we carry:

More brands of seaweed.

You have a lot of seaweed for maki rolls, but not much of other types. There are small regional seaweed harvesters. Get in touch with them.

It is a very basic staple. I’m surprised you don’t have it.

Request that we carry:

Sinto Gourmet Kraut-Chi Crunchy Beets and Cabbage

I purchased the attached ‘kraut’ @ sac co-op since I haven’t seen it @ DFC.

Any chance for it to be added to our inventory? I’ve tried all the kraut options & this is the best, IMHO.

During this review process, we look at other trending items that may be a good fit for our store. Thank you for bringing this to our attention! Comment:

Disappointed in the large number of spices no longer available after your reworking of the bulk spice section. This was something that made the Coop stand out amongst local markets. What remains seems rather random. Especially miss the blends you had such as Mexican spice and taco seasoning, and caraway seeds.

I appreciate your input and will see what we can do to possibly bring back Mexican spice and caraway seeds. If you have any other suggestions of bulk spices to bring back or that you would like to see at the co-op, please feel free to let me know!

What’s up with all the plastic? There are new plastic carts and now new plastic bulk dispensers just when we are trying to use less plastic. This exposes us to more microplastics. Disappointing.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your concerns about the plastic with our recent remodel in our bulk department.

Even with some of the changes you’re seeing, we still believe that shopping in bulk is still one of the better ways to cut down on packaging, especially single-use plastics, compared to buying prepackaged items.

We appreciate you sharing your perspective, and we’ll be sure to keep your feedback in mind as we consider any future changes in our bulk department.

Equal Exchange Organic Decaf English Breakfast Tea and Organic Street Matzoh

Thank you for reaching out and using the suggestion box. I have gone ahead and ordered the decaf English Breakfast from Equal Exchange. It looks like we used to carry it a few years back, so look for it back on the shelves in the coming week. As for the Organic Street Matzoh, I don’t see it available from our distributor, but I will continue looking for it as we approach Passover in the coming months.
