Recipe: Grilled Cheese Sandwiches


For Each Sandwich:
Sliced or grated cheese
(sliced ham or veggie deli slices)
2 slices of any bread
butter or olive oil


Very lightly butter one side of each slice of bread, or drizzle lightly with olive oil. In a pan over medium heat, place one slice of bread butter side down; top with cheese. Put other slice of bread, butter side up, on top of cheese. Cook until bread is well-browned, about 5 minutes. Turn sandwich & brown other side. Serve at once, with mustard if desired

Vary cheese types and breads for more interesting sandwiches – try muenster, sharp cheddar or even a creamy bleu cheese. Or add sliced ham or veggie deli slices before grilling.
