Recipe: Philly “Sliders”


4 whole grain rolls
1 onion
1 bell pepper
8 oz. tri tip steak
4 oz. cheese


If needed, cook rolls, then split but leave hinged (like a hot dog bun). Cut onion, bell pepper, steak and cheese into strips all roughly the same size.  Fry vegetables until tender, about 8 minutes. Remove from pan. In the same pan, fry steak until just barely done. Return peppers to pan and stir.  Salt to taste. Turn off heat. Add cheese and stir just until it starts to soften. Divide between rolls and serve.
