Having a simple sponge cake recipe in your back pocket means you can be ready for any celebration. We will make a classic sponge cake and assemble it into a Victoria Sponge, a traditional British cake with strawberries and cream. Second we will discuss how to change up the classic recipe with substitutions and flavors and make a yogurt sponge cake.
