We have been pulling weeds out of the landscaping around the Coop. Where is the city provided compost bins for this organic waste?

“Thank you for filling out a suggestion box form and for pulling weeds around the Co-op! The City provided bins are locked up in an area behind the Co-op. Our public facing bins are near the exit doors and around the corner from our patio near our employee entrance doors. However, we do have a landscaping company that should be responsible for weeding so we will definitely give them a heads up that they have been missing some spots!”

Wine Tasting classes at the the Teaching Kitchen

“Thank you for reaching out about wine tasting classes in the Teaching Kitchen. I teach many of our classes and coordinate the kitchen’s schedule with our Marketing Team. That being said, I am not personally a wine expert, but I can work with our Specialty Department to see what may be possible!

We currently release class schedules each season, so be on the lookout for summer’s schedule in the next few weeks. I am currently planning these classes and will try to make a wine tasting happen. If not for the summer, then fall.

Our Specialty team has been inviting wineries in for in-store demos, which give you the opportunity to try the wines and chat with the winemaker in many cases. We’ll announce those in our weekly newsletter so be on the lookout!

“Hi Laura, Thank you for your suggestion, I looked into it and it looks like Rick’s Picks relish is unavailable at the moment. It has been delisted from our distributors and I can’t seem to find it listed anywhere other than directly from Rick’s Picks website. I will continue to look for it and I will reach out to the company to see what happened and let you know. Thank you!”

Deli Comment:
From the deli that removed tofu (ok I know you have peanut flavor but who puts that on a deli sandwich???) from the menu, still doesn’t offer a vegan cheese (yes I know you have shredded mozzarella but who puts that on a deli sandwich???!) or protein for deli sandwiches. Also removed the vegan potato and pasta salad (that was almost always sold out before lunch) and has nothing good or substantial every single time I go in for food.

Response:

The Deli Manager will be looking into a sliced, vegan cheese option. The Deli will work on bringing back the vegan potato and pasta salad.
Beer, Wine, & Spirits Request that we carry:
You used to carry a beer known as ‘Tank 7’ by Boulevard brewing. I thought it was amazing, and bought it a second time as well. However I haven’t been able to find it at the store lately. If you carry this beer again, I will be sure to pick it up again!

We no longer carry this item as it was a slow mover for us.
