Purchase $10 worth of shares and pay a one-time $5 processing fee for the first year. Onward, it is only $20/year to remain in good standing!
Fine Print: Owners are then required to pay $20 each calendar year after joining for their membership to remain in good standing until $300 is reached. Share purchases are fully redeemable if you decide to withdraw your ownership at any time.
Investment shares provide the store with working capital, and are non-assessable and non-transferrable except as provided by the Bylaws and California Cooperative Corporation Law. Each membership in good standing has a single vote in Co-op elections, regardless of the number of shares purchased.

A Household shopper is a member of your household—such as a roommate, partner, spouse, or child—who also shops at the Co-op. You can add household shoppers to your membership at no extra cost. Each time they shop they will accrue benefits for your account, just like if you were doing the shopping. Depending on their spending at the Co-op, this may help increase your member rewards, patronage dividend payouts, and more! Membership and keychain cards are free and you can get one at the Customer Service Desk at any time. Cards can also be mailed at special request. To request a mailed card, please email [email protected].
Co-op Members who are currently enrolled as a college student, make less than $39,900 a year (calculated as 2.5x the current Federal Poverty Level for individual annual income), or receive any type of government assistance may be entitled to our 10% Community Discount.
If you received an email or postcard about escheatment, it is due to inactivity of over 3 years with us. When accounts become inactive, the state requires us to undergo this process. If you would like to continue as a member, simply check in with [email protected] or a cashier to update your information. If you choose to withdraw your membership at any point, you can receive a refund of your invested shares or donate them to our cooperative. If you would like to withdraw your membership, please submit this form or email a completed withdrawal form to [email protected]. The Member-of-Record (main account holder) must return or submit the form with a valid ID for approval.
