Corn Salad with Chile and Lime
Cranberry Sauce Bourbon Cocktail
Leftover cranberry sauce? Make it boozy with this holiday sipper featuring bourbon and homemade cinnamon syrup.
2 tablespoons homemade or store-bought cranberry sauce
1 to 2 shots bourbon
Ginger beer or club soda
1 lemon wedge
½ cup water (for syrup)
½ sugar (for syrup)
1 cinnamon stick (for syrup)
Optional: 1-2 star anise, cloves, and allspice (for syrup)
For the syrup, mix all ingredients in a saucepan over medium/low heat until all sugar dissolves, then let cool. Once cooled, strain and ready to use!
Add the cranberry sauce to the bottom of the glass along with the bourbon.
Add ice, then fill the remainder of the glass with ginger beer (or club soda).
Squeeze a lemon wedge into the drink and stir well.
