Extra Saucy Cajun Burger with Remoulade

Difficulty:

Fire up the grill for the Fourth of July with this Extra Saucy Cajun Burger, loaded with bold Cajun seasoning and a creamy, Creole-inspired remoulade. Elevate with our Quick Pickled Red Onion (see the recipe before this one!) for a bright, tangy crunch that takes every bite to the next level.

In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, egg yolk, salt and seasoning. Do not over mix. Divide into 4 equal portions and shape into patties. Make a small indent on the top of each patty with your thumb.

Heat up some olive oil in a large skillet on medium heat. Cook the burgers until browned on each side, flipping after about 5 minutes. When there is roughly 2 minutes left, put cheese on top of each patty.

While the burgers are cooking make the sauce by mixing mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, tabasco, smoked paprika, garlic, red onion, lemon juice, and chives together in a bowl.

After the burgers are done, butter the inside of each bun and place the buns face down in the same burger skillet for about a minute. You can put the burgers in the oven on low to keep warm.

Layer your burger to your liking. To make extra saucy, put sauce on both the top and bottom buns! Enjoy!
