Golden Milk

Reduce inflammation and pain and soothe your gut with a warm cup of sweetly spiced Golden Milk.

¾ cup canned light coconut milk (ensure it is free of gums and thickeners)

¾ cup unsweetened plain almond milk or regular milk

½ tsp ground turmeric

½ tsp ground ginger

1 cinnamon stick

Pinch ground black pepper

1-2 tbsp maple syrup or honey

½ tbsp coconut oil (optional)

Combine all ingredients in a small pot. Heat over medium and whisk vigorously until mixture is steaming, but not boiling, and well combined. Pour in a cup and sprinkle with additional black pepper and cinnamon.
