Hot Honey Butter Chicken Wings

1.5 lbs chicken wings

½ tbsp baking powder

½ tbsp potato starch (sub corn starch)

1 tsp garlic salt

½ tsp salt

1 tsp black pepper

1 tsp onion powder

½ tsp smoked paprika

2 tbsp unsalted butter

2-4 tbsp hot sauce (Use your favorite!)

2 tbsp honey

Pinch or more salt (if needed depending on which hot sauce you used)

Dry the wings very well with a paper towel, this will ensure a crispy wing. Combine wings and baking powder, potato starch, garlic salt, salt, pepper, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Make sure they’re evenly coated.

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F and place wings on a baking rack set over a lined baking sheet for best results. Or bake directly on parchment lined baking sheet. Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on your wing size. Flip at the 25-30 minute mark.

In the meantime, heat a saucepan over medium low heat and add the butter. Once the butter has melted, add in your hot sauce and honey. Simmer 2 minutes until thickened. Taste and adjust salt if needed. Toss the baked chicken wings with the hot honey butter when they come out of the oven. Serve immediately.
