Declaration of Candidacy – Davis Food Co-op

If you would like to run to serve on the Davis Food Co-op Board of Directors, submit this Declaration of Candidacy Form. The form must be received by February 28, 2025 to be eligible for consideration. Details about the role of a Director and the Election are available on our Elections page.

I declare my interest in becoming a candidate for the Davis Food Co-op Board of Directors. The term I will serve, if elected, would begin July 1, 2025 and end June 30, 2028. I recognize that as a Director I will have a fiduciary responsibility as a representative of all other Members. If elected, I will act in an informed and prudent manner.

I am a shareholder, and I have paid the required membership fee and investment shares to be in good standing

I have been a member of the Davis Food Co-op for at least 90 days prior to the deadline for submitting this Declaration of Candidacy, February 28, 2025

I understand that serving as a director is a job that requires me: *

to prepare for and attend Board and membership meetings

to become familiar with co-op bylaws, policies and operational and financial information

I understand I have an opportunity to speak with other DFC members about my candidacy at the May 3, 2025 Annual Meeting and in space provided in the Community Information Space Area outside the store during approved hours.
